Description : The UVI Upper-Air Series features dual lamp configurations in anti rust coat housing. This fixture is available in two high output lamp sizes (12” Inces), with two voltage options (130V & 230VAC), allowing installation flexibility to accommodate virtually any room or building layout. UVI Upper-Air Series fixtures are also designed for easy access lamp changes (simply unlatch the cover). UVI Upper-Air Series lamps are rated for 9000 hour continuous operational life with approximately 15% drop in UVC output at end of lamp life.

Product Overview

  • Constructed of corrosion-resistant Stainless Steel and Aluminum.
  • Irradiates air flow within ultraviolet field in upper portion of room
  • Disinfects air in seconds, reducing the risk of cross infection and exposure of occupants to infectious airborne microbes
  • For use in occupied areas
  • Requires very little power to operate

Areas of Applications

  • Hospitals, Dental clinics, Laboratories , Clean rooms, and Operating Rooms
  • ICUs, Burn Centers, Doctors Offices, and Residencial Buildings
  • TB Clinics,Dairy plants, Day Care Centers, Schools, and Offices

How it works ?

Upper air room UV-C disinfection unit by UV India is unique way to disinfect air and aerosol in room in presence of human beings.

These units get installed at specific height in the room. It produces UV light filed of 254nm in a controlled manner above the head of occupants in the room and to minimize UVC in lower, occupied area of the room. Upper-air UVC is very effective in areas with no, or minimal, ventilation; 2 air changes per hour (ach) equivalency, up to normal recommended levels of 6 ach can be achieved.

Parameters for UVC effectiveness include room configuration, UV fixture placement, and the adequacy of air currents in bringing contaminated air into the upper UV zone. The overall effectiveness of upper-air UVC systems improves significantly when the air in the space can be well mixed. Fans can be placed in the room to enhance mixing.

A UVC installation that produces a maintained, uniform distribution of UV irradiance averaging between 30 and 50 W/cm2 is effective in inactivating most airborne droplet μ nuclei containing mycobacteria, and is presumably effective against viruses as well (First et al. 2007a, 2007b; Miller et al. 2002; Xu et al. 2003).
